Reaching for Shared Success

We are aligning missions! Students express their desire to support others and of course, Get MotiVETed aims to make well-being a non-negotiable constant for the veterinary community. Together, we will succeed!

Descriptions

Written - Self Plan

The plans you will design here will help you to stay on track. Keeping challenges at bay, bounding back when they come too close, and making steady strides to next-level in any way you are striving toward.

We want you to get creative here as a level II graduate; you've got what it takes! Here are 15 ideas you can pull from

  • Daily journal - organized with prompts or a strategy

  •  Plan for the valleys (or tough times) how will you show up as your best self while still processing what is happening

  • What are the "recipe ingredients" for recreating your ideal days

  • Who is your well-being army/network that you'll reach out to and who will naturally check-in with you

  • What methods are you using to hold yourself accountable

  • How are you measuring your personal success

  • How frequently are you using the tools you have to maintain or regain balance

  • What books do you plan to read

  • What are 3 action steps for the goals you have outlined

  • What habits are changing for you (do more of/do less of)

  • Annual actions

  • weekly or monthly rituals

  • New boundaries set in place

  • How are you challenging yourself to grow

  • Daily non-negotiables and daily flexibles

Written - Organizational Plan

The concept here is to develop a comprehensive and multi-modal approach to well-being in your culture.

It can be a document, a slideshow, or a document with a table - whichever reflects your natural style and is in a format that you could share with your team.

Using the categories listed on the well-being wheels for organizations to get started. Apply GTD methods to give your abstract concept some shape.

Tell us about your hospital and where you want to go together. This project will help you bridge the gap!

You will be identifying where you can infuse tools and resources into each of the categories and laying out simple next steps to get them into action. (It doesn't have to be overly complex, you can always (and should) refine this later.)

You might suggest layers of accountability or check-ins to ensure usage, define "dosages" like frequency or durations, and how often tools will be used.

You may even identify what is already in place, what is working, and what isn't, along with new things. Order it in a way that makes it achievable, so what is the lowest hanging fruit, easy to implement, least costly, or fastest to get off the ground? What elements need a committee, a budget line, or further research?

Live Group Presentation

Think lunch & learn or a well-being day organized and presented by you.

You know your people best, and that means you have a unique ability to gain traction when introducing and sharing well-being resources and concepts.

There is flexibility here!
